Editor, episode 2

A three-part docuseries directed by Matt Tyrnauer. I edited episode 2, The Secret Friend, which introduces Jeffrey Epstein as a long-time friend and financial advisor to billionaire and ex CEO Les Wexner. Epstein poses as a VS model scout to access and abuse young women. No surprise there. Wexner and Ed Razek’s What is Sexy Now? campaign fuels VS’s highly sexualized marketing approach. They go after the junior market in a perverse capturing of young girls as customers that they will keep for decades.

When the freedoms and uniqueness of Hong Kong are threatened by a proposed extradition bill, protesters, using a range of resourcefulness and creativity, come together to defend their city and their beliefs.

Faceless, a testament to the power of unity and the value of community, is a documentary by first-time director Jennifer Ngo. The film intimately portrays four young Hong Kong protestors as they move through the frontlines of the pro-democracy movement in their city.

I was honored to consult and provide additional editing for this film produced by Lorraine Ma and edited by Sam Rong. Faceless had its premiere at the 2021 Hot Docs Canadian International Film Festival and will be distributed worldwide by Dogwoof.

Hysterical, a feature-length documentary directed by Andrea Nevins, shares the points of views and experiences of 15 groundbreaking female comics as they maneuver the world of standup comedy, traditionally a male stomping ground but that is now increasingly becoming a popular female space. The film examines the history and long-standing barriers of the art form, focusing in on how in a post #MeToo world, more and more women are smashing the glass ceiling with arena size success. I had the great pleasure of being one of two editors on this documentary, which premiered at SXSW 2021, aired on FX, and is currently streaming on HULU.

Scandalous: The Untold Story of the National Enquirer is the feature-length Emmy-nominated documentary directed by Mark Landsman about the infamous supermarket tabloid, The National Enquirer. The film covers the tabloid's more than sixty-year history, from the early years of sensational journalism to its real boots-on-the-ground reporting during the O.J. Simpson trial to the co-opting of the paper by conservative forces implementing ‘catch and kill’ tactics to skew the news. The film includes rare archival footage and interviews. Scandalous premiered at the Hamptons International Film Festival fall of 2019 and aired on CNN May 2020.
