Last night was the Los Angeles premiere of Matt Tyrnauer's Citizen Jane: Battle for the City. It was wonderful to see it on the big screen at one of my favorite theaters in Los Angeles--Landmark Theaters NUART. I was pleased to co-edit and co-produce the film with Corey Reeser and Daniel Morfesis for Altimeter Films.

Jane Jacobs was a journalist/activist in New York City in the late 50s and early 60s who fought against the massively destructive wave of urban renewal that was destroying the very communities it was supposed to be saving.
